The battery was charged straight out the box. The trimmer is Very quiet., comes with comb guides. I like that it is cordless so no getting tangled in cords. The scissors is nice and sharp. Haven’t had a chance to try the nail clippers or file. Only used this product for a few minutes because my shitzu puppy doesn’t like it but she’ll need to get used to it.
