I have not used it yet. I just received and charged it today. I have a long hair cat with serious matts, based on the reviews about cutting through matts and the low noise (which I have already verified the low noise) I choose this shaver. I will be attempting to shave my vicious cat tonight. (I have decided to try this on my own because when I take her in to be shaved based on her temperament they sedate her which she does not recover from very well.

Wanting to save money by being able to give our long haired cat a lion cut twice a year. The cuts at the groomers cost 70 dollars and up. These clippers are priced at 35.00 dollars. Will definitely never need to go to professional groomer again. It’s so easy to do with these clippers. They are sharp and easy to control. I can easily see becoming good at it after several uses. The noise level from these clippers are so low that our cat just lays there like he’s being brushed. They also seem to not hurt/pull hair because they are so sharp. Even if I had to buy a new one every year at this price point it would still be cheaper and less time consuming than going to professional groomer.

This product arrived with nothing secured in the box. The box was not taped or anything. I feel like I may have gotten someone else’s return. I hope this is not the case because. I would not be very happy about that. I purchased what I feel should be a brand new, never before used, clipper. This box had obviously been opened and probably used since the clipper oil had no seal. And not one thing was secured. I would really prefer to have a new one.

We have a Maine Coon, who does not like being brushed or having my shaving trimmer used to remove knotted fur. First of all it is too loud and not powerful enough. When I used the Sminiker he settled down very soon after I became confident that the trimmer was really safe and would not cut him. I could take the leather gloves off and in very short time completely removed his matted hair without any struggle from him. I plan to trim him periodically with the guides. This comes complete with nail clippers, scissors etc. Love the fact that it is rechargeable. Highly recommend this product.
